• We want to provide all history or homeland researchers with data about places, peasants and farms.
• We want to promote the networking of local historians, genealogists and history buffs.
• We also want to give the building authorities and the cadastral offices in the district a quick information about the history of the development and condition of an object (yard/house).
• Support for the preservation of the listed houses and the memorable houses.
• Who is the operator? History enthusiasts from East Westphalia have started to fill this page.
• It is an open project: this website is organized as a Wikipedia page and can be supplemented by other participants. The cooperation is voluntary.

The overall presentation of the court data consists of two components:

1. This website is an online resource, in which interested people from the Internet can search for documents and information, it should make it easier to find available data in the archives. However, on this website are not the actual data, but only their meta-information, descriptions, previews and information about their availability.
2. The actual data are very extensive, which is the reason it can only be seen in the responsible district archive itself for research purposes. Suitable data output devices are provided for this purpose. In the further course of the project, it is planned to set up such data stations for research also in the community archives or local heritage societies.

These are usually photos, books, documents, maps and genealogies as electronic media that are available as digitized documents, copies or scans for research purposes. These data represent archive material, therefore legal regulations apply. The cooperation is voluntary!

Within the district the first outline points are the current cities and communities; after branching out to the city and community outline level, former administrative structures of “parish” and “peasants” are used as the historical data can be better assigned to them. Where necessary (for example due to land consolidation or incorporations) references are made.

For each peasantry (or management sub-unit) information about the following data is provided, if available:

• Historical maps
• Books on local history, homeland literature
• Historical photos
• Lists of courts with their numbers, founder names, further owners, address and a link to the geo-data (online presentation in the map)
• References to archives, further sources and contacts

As court numbers those of the original cadastral maps of the Prussian government are listed here.

Information on the following data is provided for each court, if in individual cases available:

• Information about the court number, founding names, development and references to the location
• Location of the farm with its areas in the historical and current map image
• Historical maps of land parcels, cadastral maps showing ownerships
• Court-specific excerpts from court books, files and historical documents
• Historical and current photos
• The current address of the location according to the original cadastral map

The copyright of the photos and drawings on this page is with the photographers respectively artists. If there is no source given, I simply could not find it out.
